Does the consumption of soda effect the behavior of a 5-year-old? Researchers looked at the number of sodas consumed per day by 5-year-olds and the level of the child’s aggressive behaviors, attention problems, and withdrawal behavior.
- Consuming 1-4 sodas per day (or more) was associated with higher rates of aggressive behavior.
- Children who consumed 4 or more sodas per day had higher rates of attention problems.
- Oddly, those who consumed 2, 4, or more sodas had higher rates of withdrawn behavior.
